Carrie Tops iTunes Country Songs List with “So Small”

Just one day after being released to iTunes, Carrie Underwood's newest single "So Small" took over the top spot on the iTunes Country Songs list. Overall, Carrie's single currently stands at #3 on the overall iTunes Top Songs list. Carrie's newest hit not only achieved personal bests for the well-decorated Season Four winner, but made Country music history in the process. "So Small" is the first single off Carrie's second album entitled "Carnival Ride," which is slated for an October 23 release. The first American Idol in history is still drawing huge crowds for her live performances. Kelly Clarkson is set to announce her fall tour in the coming weeks and, if her New York shows in October are any indication, she's going to pack concert halls across the nation. Concert tickets for two of her shows at New York City’s Beacon Theater (October 15th and 16th) went on sale this past weekend and, according to the organizers, it sold out in just under 20 minutes. A third show was immediately added for Sunday, October 14th, and it, too, sold out over the weekend. Check back soon for details on Kelly's entire fall line-up.

Two-time GRAMMY winner and Season Four American Idol Carrie Underwood will release her new album, Carnival Ride, for 19 Recordings/Arista Records/Arista Nashville on October 23rd. With “So Small” already a country airplay Top 10 single after only four weeks, the American Idol Season Four winner who transformed from college student to multiplatinum superstar in under three years has experienced quite the adventure of her own. Carnival Ride is not only the title of Carrie's newest album, but Carrie saw it as metaphor as well. She said, “You step onto this ride called life, and it’s a crazy thing you don’t know anything about, but you get on it anyway. You do what you can to lean different directions to try and get it to go where you want it to go, but you can’t stop it – it just keeps moving.
